Share Schemes offer an equity-based incentive in what should be a highly tax efficient manner for the employee, while giving the company a strategic exit plan.

About 92% of all listed companies in the UK now offer some form of Employee Share Scheme incorporating about 3.5 million current participants. There is currently a rapid growth in the use of Share Option Schemes by smaller companies. This is due in part to the attractive tax incentives now on offer via the new Enterprise Management Incentive.
